Update

Hello All! I wanted to stop in and give you all an update on my New York Application.

Well, I received an e-mail back from them last week saying they were denying my application due to my certification. New York has reciprocity with the states and they will accept a license of 2 and above. Well, they classified MN as a level 3. According to the e-mail they will not accept my license due to reciprocity. Also, I have not made any advancements on getting a New York license before  Sept. 2011. Well, I was extremely upset and confused. So, I e-mailed them for clarification and they have not gotten back to me yet.

So, I will be back once I hear back from them about the next step.

I DID IT!

Central Park-So Pretty!!

Many of you know what I want to do and many of you do not. So, here it is....I want to move to New York City! Let me give you a second to get over the shock.........................I know what you are thinking! This is the girl who can barely have a sleepover because she just wants to be at home. This is the same girl who couldn't stay at college for the week. I cried the instant my family left me on move in day. Now I want to move far away from home and where I don't know anyone into a big city. Very strange I know, right? Well, ever since my boyfriend and I broke up a few months ago, this is something I have thought long and hard about. I want to follow my dreams to move to the big city. I would never had done this if we were still together. It would have just been a dream that I never got to fulfill. It would not be permanent (I don't think, you never know who I might meet), but a little adventure. So, I just submitted my application to the Department of New York City of Education.  It takes them about 10 business days to review the application. We will see what happens next. I am pretty excited! I will keep everyone updated on the progress. Here are some pictures of the lovely city to enjoy!

I'm Here!

Hello Everyone! I am here! Things have been just crazy lately.

The place I work is closed for the month of March, which is a nice vacation, but not so nice on my bank account. So as of Sunday, Feb. 27 at 3:30pm I was on vacation for the next 32 days. Well, it has been anything but a vacation. I have been subbing every day for the last week. I also started my other class, which I am going to love. I also spent some time with friends. I have been busy!

So, my new class that started on Wednesday nights is going to be awesome! This class is the very first one in the program. The professor is sarcastic and full of information. I know that I am going to learn a lot about reading. I actually am looking forward to going back. That is a good sign to me!

On Thursday, I spent some time with my friends, Amy and Sarah, at Amy's new house. Her house is just gorgeous! I also got to meet her dog, the infamous Kal. She always has stories about Kal and her mischievous behavior. She was real sweet the night I met her! She cuddled up to me and napped!

On Friday night, I went to the Home and Garden show with my dad, stepmom and stepsister, Kristin. We had a lot of laughs! The goal of the night was to grab as much as I could for my dad and stepmom. My stepsister meet Dick Enrico of 2nd Wind stores. She also got a signed bobblehead of him. It totally made her night! Then my dad tried to fill a back of a SUV with different items in 30 seconds to try and win a Lowes giftcard. He did not win, but it was funny to watch him! I had a good time spending it with my family!

Today is the first time I feel like I am on vacation. I slept in late and have no plans for the next two days, except to do homework and head up to Lifetime. I am looking forward to it!

See you soon! Thanks for visiting!
